South crew is one of only two crew teams in the state of West Virginia.  Parkersburg South High School has been competing in crew since 1995.  The school has never been able to financially fund this sport, so we rely on fundraising and donations to help support the costs of this sport.  Any leftover costs that can not be raised are the responsibility of each individual rower.  These costs can average from $500 to $800 a year for students to be able to participate. 

Costs per year for the whole team average around $25,000 or more per year.  These costs include; race entrance fees, travel, hotel, insurance, and equipment needs or repairs. 

SO THIS YEAR WE ARE HOPING YOU CAN DONATE TO A GREAT CAUSE AND IN THE SAME TIME HELP A ROWER! 

WHATEVER YOU DONATE, THE BOOSTERS WILL BE GIVING THE ROWER OF YOUR CHOICE 50% OF YOUR DONATION TO GO TOWARDS THEIR ROW FEE COSTS! 

WHAT A GREAT WAY TO HELP THOSE STUDENTS WITH NEED TO STILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A SPORT THEY REALLY ENJOY!
